Guitarist Wolf Hoffmann of German heavy metal band ACCEPT stated in a recent interview that the band is not currently working on new material. In conversation with Anfetamina Y Rock, following the release of their 50th-anniversary compilation 'Teutonic Titans 1976–2026', Hoffmann confirmed plans for a future studio album but emphasized that the right moment has not yet arrived.
The focus for 2026 remains on celebrating five decades of ACCEPT's legacy, with festivities potentially extending into early next year. 'I haven't done anything yet in terms of writing new music,' Hoffmann explained. 'Because I know we want to make a new studio album, but to me, it's very difficult to do multitasking.'
Творческий процесс и личные особенности
The guitarist elaborated on his creative methodology, noting that he cannot write music sporadically. 'I can't just pick up a guitar 10 minutes from now and start writing a great song, just because my frame of mind is — it's not right, if you know what I mean. I need to get into the zone and then start focusing on that shit, and really stay on it every day, and then stuff will happen,' Hoffmann said.
When asked about his proudest achievements with the band, Hoffmann expressed satisfaction with their current trajectory. 'I'm super proud and super happy where we are right now, especially with this 50-year thing. This has gone so well, so much better than I could ever have hoped for,' he remarked.
Вдохновение для будущих проектов
Despite the current focus on celebrations, Hoffmann maintains belief in undiscovered potential. 'I still have the feeling that the best song hasn't been written yet, and I still believe the best show hasn't been played yet. So I'm still thinking we're right in the middle of it, and the best is yet to come,' he concluded.
The band's most recent full-length album, 'Humanoid', was released in April 2024 through Napalm Records, produced by Andy Sneap.
The 50th-anniversary collection features 19 reimagined classics with 50 guest musicians across diverse lineups, representing ACCEPT's most ambitious release to date.
</arg>The current lineup consists of Hoffmann on guitar, Mark Tornillo on vocals since 2009, Philip Shouse on guitar, Christopher Williams on drums, and Martin Motnik on bass. This configuration has delivered chart-topping results across six studio albums, earningACCEPT induction into the Metal Hall of Fame.
