Slipknot releases behind‑the‑scenes footage for "Arsenal" video

Slipknot has released behind‑the‑scenes footage from the official music video for the band's latest single, "Arsenal". The clip shows the creative process of the visual.

The track marked Slipknot's first new song in over three years and arrived with a video directed by M. Shawn "Clown" Crahan. It is the band's first release on its own (sic)est Records label after a two‑and‑a‑half‑decade deal with Roadrunner.

Since the departure of longtime members Sid Wilson and Craig Jones, as well as drummer Jay Weinberg, the lineup now features Eloy Casagrande on drums.

"Arsenal" has received mixed reactions, with some fans saying it departs from the group's typical sound and criticizing the chorus where singer Corey Taylor repeats, "Let's go, let's go, let's go."

Slipknot guitarist Jim Root addressed the criticism on Instagram, noting that the song does not represent the direction of the album the band is currently working on. He replied to a fan, "It depends on the commenter, really. I mean, what's their band doing?" Root explained that "Arsenal" was a quick release while the rest of the record is still in development.

"'Arsenal' was a tune we could quickly get out there while we work on the rest of the record," Root wrote. "It's not really representative of the other tunes." He later clarified that the single will not be part of the upcoming Slipknot album.

The song premiered in the "Hottest Record" slot on BBC Radio 1's "New Music Show With Jack Saunders." Corey Taylor told Jack Saunders the track "pummels" and captures the band's energy.

"Arsenal" is the first new Slipknot music since the 2023 standalone single "Bone Church," a track in development for nearly a decade.

Slipknot's next full‑length album will follow "The End, So Far" (August 2022), which reached No. 1 on Billboard's Top Album Sales and No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The band last performed live at Inkcarceration festival in Ohio in July 2025.
