Billboard Style – “Dropped”

Billboard Style is a new band formed by Forth Wanderers' Ben Guterl and Victoryland's Dan Howard. They have been gaining attention with the energetic singles “Billboard Style” and “Meloxicam.” Now they share a quieter preview called “Dropped.”

Why “Dropped” matters

Guterl explains that “Dropped” grew out of a painful breakup after ten years together. He says the month following the split was the worst of his life and inspired the lyrics. The song feels like a personal goodbye, though listeners may hear a reference to Third Eye Blind or the classic “So Long, Farewell” from The Sound Of Music.

The track is part of the Pull Of The Moon collection, which will be released on October 16 through Good English. Earlier singles “Billboard Style” and “Meloxicam” set the tone for the band’s sound. “Dropped” offers a more intimate glimpse into their songwriting.
