Alan Richson and Wife Kathryn Announce Separation After 20 Years

Actor Alan Richson, known for roles in “Jack Reacher” and “Disappearance on Saturday,” and his wife Kathryn have announced they are ending their marriage of two decades. The couple’s joint statement was posted on social media on September 12, 2026, marking the end of a 20‑year partnership.

In a candid post, they wrote: “After twenty years of life together, Keth and I have decided to dissolve our marriage and continue our journey side by side, but in a different capacity. We have grown together, built a life and raised a family. We are raising three wonderful boys who are always at the center of our world. Nothing can diminish what these years have meant to us, or the love and respect we will always have for each other. The best gift we can give each other and our boys right now is friendship, goodwill and a firm intention to be as reliable and understanding parents as possible. We also want to give each other space to grow personally. Change is difficult enough without the whole world watching. We hope, especially for the sake of our boys, that you will allow our family this space, respecting our right to privacy and treating us with understanding.”

Richson and Kathryn met while dancing in college and married in 2006. The couple has three sons: 13‑year‑old Kahlan, 12‑year‑old Eidan and 10‑year‑old Emory.
