Musical «Plaksa» opens September 10, 2026 at Moscow Musical Theatre

The Moscow Musical Theatre will host the premiere of the new musical «Plaksa» on September 10, 2026. The production is based on the popular series of the same name from STV and Wink, featuring music by Sergey Zhukov and a libretto by Konstantin Rubinsky.

The story of Masha—her first love, friendship, music, and growing up—will appear on stage in a fresh format: live performances, an orchestra, choreography, and a grand stage design. The production brings the series’ world to life with a full live band and dynamic choreography.

The lead role of Masha will be played by Nika Zhukova, who portrayed the character in the series. Kristina Kukas and Margarita Belova also appear in the main cast, together with Lika Rulla, Vadim Dubrovin, Mitya Fedorov, Oksana Kostetskaya, Andrey Valts, Yefim Shifrin, Galina Beznruk, Anna Guchenkova and other artists.

Starting in September the musical will be performed almost daily, after which it will become part of the theatre’s regular repertoire.
